Responsibilities / Tasks
- Project Management: Lead and manage projects with budgets typically up to €5 million, overseeing all phases from initial quotation to commissioning, handover, and project closeout.
- Financial Oversight: Ensure optimal financial performance, managing project budgets to achieve the best outcomes for GEA, while monitoring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
- Team Leadership: Establish and guide a dedicated project team, providing clear direction and fostering a culture of ownership and accountability to achieve project objectives.
- Project Planning & Monitoring: Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking progress against timelines, manpower estimates, and margin targets. Ensure timely delivery of key project milestones.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for project reporting, delivering updates on project developments to internal stakeholders and customers during Project Review Meetings.
- Adherence to Standards: Ensure project execution aligns with GEA’s standards, procedures, and customer expectations, particularly in terms of scope, cost, quality, and schedule.
- Customer Relationship Management: Manage client relationships throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing concerns as they arise.
- Site and Health & Safety Management: Oversee on-site activities, ensuring they are completed as per schedule, and health and safety standards are adhered to at all times. Attend client site meetings to facilitate the commissioning of GEA-supplied equipment and meet all KPIs.
- Claims and Change Management: Handle claims and manage any necessary change orders efficiently and in compliance with contractual agreements.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks through effective risk management strategies.
- Lessons Learned: Capture and assess lessons learned from each project to improve future performance.
- Procurement Coordination: Develop procurement plans in collaboration with the supply chain, ensuring timely fabrication and component receipt to meet project deadlines.
- Team Collaboration: Lead a small team of project engineers, coordinating their activities without direct line reporting, ensuring successful project delivery.
Your Profile / Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing, engineering, pharmaceutical, or chemical industry.
- Project management certification or relevant education in project management methodologies.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing commercial projects, applying project management methodologies to meet business and financial goals.
- Strong understanding of legal and contractual matters in the context of project execution.
