Technical Service (TS) for HHC JKO is responsible for delivery of optimal support to our customers in the region.
The general requirements for the position are:
Lives out the Novonesis values and represent Novonesis toward customers and other stakeholders on technical and/or project issues Takes initiative for completing tasks and assignments with a positive, “can-do” attitude. Considers problems, processes, and solutions with a LEAN mindset. Adheres to and supports company Safety, Quality, and Environmental systems and policies. Carries out activities responsibly and professionally, fully complying with the company’s policies. Takes responsibility in training of new employees Actively engaged in their own professional development
More specific responsibilities and requirements include below.
Industry
Provide application insight:
- Stay abreast of technical development and generate new ideas, papers, and patents
- Contribute actively with input for continuous product, tool & service development
Optimizing value of our technical solutions for our customers:
- Identify and solve complex technical issues
- Initiate plans and coordinate technical activities carried out by Novonesis, customers, or partners
- Understand and help to address customer concerns
- Participate in customer meetings as coordinated with Account Manager
- Support the Industry Group by identifying and qualifying prospects and sales opportunities incl. new applications
Support launch teams:
- Provide customer and industry technology insight and support NPD projects as needed
- Plan/guide lab work in accordance with the Application Qualification Agreement (AQA)
- Participate in test marketing & roll out
Functional
Experimental work:
- Conduct/supervise own lab-work to meet customer and project expectations
- Manage external testing in collaboration with the responsible TSM/Business Manager
- Develop and adapt new methods and procedures based on up-to-date knowledge
Communication:
- Represent Novozymes towards customers and other stakeholders on technical and/or project issues
- Actively use Salesforce for collaboration within Novonesis and with the customers
- Actively reaching out within the global TS and R&D community to take advantage of the global organization as a platform for better solutions.
Required skills, knowledge and abilities
- Ph.D., M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in biotechnology, chemistry, or relevant fields
- Min 5 yrs of work experience and knowledge in Household care industry with customer oriented focus and technical understanding
- Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese and ability to operate well within a network based matrix environment.
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally and possesses the physical ability, visual acuity, and motor skills necessary to perform essential functions of the position.
