A day in a life of a Sensory Product Experience Specialist
- As an integral member of cross-functional project teams within NPTC/R&D, you actively contribute by providing guidance on the selection and utilization of sensory evaluation and consumer methodologies to enhance the value and success of projects.
- You take ownership of managing studies, overseeing the entire process from planning and design to analysis, reporting, and presentation of results. Your work aligns with best practices and expectations, making a tangible impact on the cross-functional team and our business partners.
- You actively provide strategic directions within projects to ensure the best sensory and consumer knowledge to it.
- With a focus on ensuring high-quality results, you uphold panel maintenance and performance standards (e.g., through panel performance KPIs).
- Your contributions extend beyond specific projects, as you actively work towards improving sensory and consumer methods within NPTC/R&D and across Nestlé. You can contribute to internal trainings, sharing knowledge and expertise within the CSI knowledge network across R&D and the wider Nestlé organization.
- Moreover, you drive the bridging and enhanced collaboration between sensory and consumer functions, fostering a synergistic approach.
What will make you successful
- You have a Master's degree or equivalent in Sensory Science, Consumer Science, Marketing Research, Food Technology, Food Science or other related fields.
- After your graduation you gained more than 3 years of experience in a wide range of sensory analysis and consumer product testing techniques and their applications.
- Additionally, you had some supervisory experience of leading sensory laboratory activities (panels, technicians, etc.) or working with sensory agencies.
- Your experience in Marketing Research is a plus.
- Your stakeholder management aligns with your strong written and oral communication skills.
- You feel comfortable using MS Office programs including Excel, Word PowerPoint and Outlook and you are familiar using statistical tools for analysis and drawing conclusion out of it.
- In addition, you are fluent in English, German is a plus.
