Strengthen our Site Leadership Team at the Royal Canin plant in Bruck an der Leitha (30 min drive from Vienna) as Site R&D / Quality & Food Safety Manager. In this position, you will be at the forefront of our local R&D operations, leading innovation, and championing quality and food safety initiatives. You will manage and inspire our dedicated R&D team and play a crucial role in the local site leadership team, contributing far beyond the traditional functional scope.
What we are looking for:
- Master’s degree in biological, biochemical, food science, or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, showcasing strong leadership skills and a proven track record in team and individual development, as well as functional competences, preferably within Petcare
- Fluent English and with at least basic German skills
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Lead and coach the local site R&D team
- Ensure site awareness and compliance with global quality and food safety standards
- Act as the primary interface into the Royal Canin organization for R&D related topics
- Lead continuous improvement of consumer-relevant product quality at the site
- Oversee the smooth and standardized operation of production technologies at the site
- Define and implement standard operating procedures and enhance process capabilities
- Ensure standards are met and address gaps promptly and effectively
- Work with fellow leadership team members to cultivate a strong quality culture
