As an Assistant Food Designer on a 12 month contract, you will develop and improve food products that align with market trends and consumer preferences. Your responsibilities include innovating new recipes, refining existing ones, and ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and profitability. You will be based between our Media City office and culinary center, Trafford Park. As part of a six-member team reporting to the Productivity & Network Optimisation Director.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive projects from concept to production, ensuring seamless execution and optimal efficiency.
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
- Innovation- Modify existing products and processes and develop new ones.
- Research -Research consumer markets and latest technologies to create new product concepts.
- Procurement- Select raw materials and ingredients and prepare product costings to ensure profitability.
- Testing - Run trials of new products and coordinate first productions.
- Resolution - Handle customer complaints, and product issues, and collaborate on long-term projects to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- Previous technical knowledge of food development
- Passion for creative product development in the food sector
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- High levels of proactivity and a results-driven mindset, with a focus on keeping the consumer at the centre of our efforts.
