Reporting to the Quality Manager at the Jackson, TN facility, you will be involved in all aspects of quality and food safety. You will support management in the implementation of relevant quality processes and the daily execution of related activities. You will participate on cross functional teams to ensure implementation of quality initiatives. You will own the execution of technical objectives related to assigned responsibilities.
You Will:
Ensure Food Safety Plans (HACCP) are current, relevant, and performed to meet Conagra standards, regulatory requirements (FDA and USDA), and prevent adulteration of product.
- Knowledge of GFSI Benchmarked Schemes (namely SQF and BRC), GMP's, Sanitation, Pest Control, Food Safety and HACCP systems, Training, Allergens, and applicable programs/regulations.
- Lead quality and food safety audits from both internal and external partners.
- Lead plant trace and recall program.
- Gather and study data to understand trends to provide technical risk-based input for decision making related to product safety and quality in areas of assigned responsibility.
- Design and implement processes and procedures within assigned technical area(s) of responsibility using data driven approach.
- Gauge and evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions and assure continuous improvements in assigned areas of responsibility.
- Assist or supervise others in the organization within assigned areas of responsibility.
- Collaborate and provide technical support and training to appropriate functions / employees to assure, food safety and quality of company products.
- Participate on cross functional teams to assure effective implementation and adherence of QA initiatives and process improvements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain department processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal and external customers to ensure Conagra Food Safety standards are met.
You Have:
BS in Food, Biological, or Chemical Science or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years industry experience required.
- Knowledge of food safety, food manufacturing processes, technologies or other relevant area of responsibility.
- Knowledge of SAP a strong plus.
- Familiarity in using continuous improvement tools (SPC, Capability Studies) and fundamentals.
- Sound report writing, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Knowledge of government regulatory requirements in food packaging (GFSI, FSMA, FDA, USDA)
- Troubleshooting, data analysis, and investigative skills
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
