Reports To: VP of Business Development and Retail Sales
What you will be responsible for:
Communicates with ~200 current independent Natural Food retailers by email and phone, to support sales and grow future opportunities.
Develops sales opportunities, soliciting new accounts, primarily in the natural channel, building rapport, providing product information and supporting retailers.
Initiating and maintaining contact with buyers from independent natural grocery chains through cold calling and warm calling efforts to build relationships, present product offerings, and secure sales opportunities
Generates revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders, understanding and interpreting account requirements, providing information, and developing accounts.
Develops accounts by checking customer’s buying history, suggesting related and new items, and explaining product features.
Submits orders in Net Suite, communicating expected delivery date, and explaining any stock issues.
Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions and participating in educational opportunities.
Drive efforts to meet or exceed established Key Performance Indicators including sales targets, customer acquisition goals, and product penetration rates.
Continuously monitor progress towards KPIs, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing strategies to ensure success.
Who you are
1-2 years of experience in retail account management, preferably within the natural food, wellness or supplements industry.
Strong knowledge of natural products, wellness trends, and nutritional principles.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Experience soliciting new accounts and managing existing brick and mortar retail accounts
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Experience with Microsoft Suite
Netsuite experience is a plus
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Ability to pay attention to detail
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Travel Requirements:
Participate in 1-2 trade shows per year.

50K-70K depending on experience
