In this position you will...
- be a key lead the accounting team and ensure accurate and timely completion of all accounting tasks. Your responsibilities will include managing financial closings, maintaining financial records, overseeing tax compliance, and ensuring adherence to internal controls
You will be responsible for...
- Prepare and manage accurate financial reports in alignment with local regulations and accounting standards
- Ensure strict compliance with financial regulations and standards, maintaining the integrity of financial data
- Create and refine accounting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Oversee and manage the accounting team's operations
- Conduct monthly and year-end financial closings
- Ensure the General Ledger is accurate and compliant with company policies and local regulations. Provide timely financial reports
- Maintain accurate accounts payable, receivable, and inventory records
- Prepare accrual and pre-payment journals
- Manage all company taxes, including PND50, VAT, withholding tax, and excise tax
- Maintain the fixed asset register and calculate depreciation
- Maintain balance sheet account reconciliations
- Collaborate with external financial auditors
- Ensure strong internal controls are in place
- Develop and mentor accounting team members to enhance their performance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
- 7-10 years of experience in finance and accounting roles.
- CPD qualified is a must
- Professional Certification (CPA, CMA, or equivalent): Preferred but not mandatory
- Experience in Manufacturing is a plus (FMCG or Food industry -preferred)
- Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and ERP/financial systems
- Excellent English proficiency
- Very strong attention to detail
- Good leadership with the ability to motivate and coach a high-performing team
- Strong analytical and systematic thinking, coupled with business acumen
- Demonstrate commitment to delivering high-quality results on time
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills
