Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Project Management Office (PMO) Manager to lead and manage a large Supply Chain project. The PMO Manager will be responsible for providing strategic guidance, project management oversight, and overall support to ensure the successful delivery of a new Greenfield DC in Kansas.
Responsibilities
Establish and manage the project management office including processes, tools, and templates.
Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and schedules, and ensure that all project stakeholders are informed of progress against these plans.
Monitor and report on project risks, issues, and dependencies, and ensure that appropriate mitigation plans are in place.
Oversee the external relationship with the 3PL partner, the developer, and other key vendors ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
Work collaboratively with internal functions including engineering, finance, IT, and supply chain teams
Monitor the performance and compliance of the 3PL partner.
Address any issues or conflicts that may arise during the partnership.
Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and resources.
Provide leadership and guidance to the project team, ensuring that all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
Facilitate communication and collaboration across the project team, stakeholders, and business units.
Manage project finances, including budget tracking and forecasting, and ensure that project costs are managed within budget.
Maintain a risk register and proactively address emerging risks.
Develop and maintain project documentation, including project charters, project plans, status reports, and project closure documents.
Ensure that project governance processes are followed, including project stage-gate reviews, change control, and issue management.
Provide regular project status updates to project sponsors, stakeholders, and senior management.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes as appropriate.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering, supply chain, or related field.
5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in new warehouse startups.
Knowledge of cold storage, logistics industry, and operations is an advantage.
Experience managing project management offices (PMOs) and implementing project management processes, tools, and templates.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Experience with project management software and tools.
General knowledge of construction and warehouse building processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
PMP or PRINCE2 certification is preferred.
Willing to travel up to 25% of time
