This is a hybrid role, working approximately 3 days a week out of our Dawson, MN facility with the option to work from home during non-office days.
In this role, you will provide People Operations support for Production across the PURIS enterprise, primarily focusing on our state-of-the-art Dawson, MN facility, with occasional travel to other locations and Minneapolis.
As an HR Generalist in People Operations at PURIS, you'll be involved in various aspects of people operations, including talent management, employee relations, compliance, and HR administration. Reporting directly to the Head of People Operations, you'll play a vital role in supporting the day to day HR needs of our workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition and on/off boarding:
- Talent acquisition/recruiting for Production across PURIS, emphasis on hourly staffing.
- Onboarding new Production hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
- Offboarding of exiting team members.
- Manage and organize processes with Production leadership to ensure excellent candidate and team member experiences.
Employee Relations and Support:
- Address and resolve employee relations issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Manage leaves of absence.
- Accurately interpret and provide guidance on company policies.
- Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR related matters.
- Assist with performance management processes and documentation.
- Assist with payroll and benefits inquiries.
HR Administration and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Unemployment administration.
- HR related reporting and data analysis.
- Stay updated on HR laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Manage service award program.
Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and administer in coordination with existing training programs.
- Manage and facilitate Production’s action planning for engagement survey results.
- Support employee development initiatives to enhance skills and competencies.
Requirements
- 1 to 3+ years of human resources experience.
- Strong interest/experience in hourly staffing.
- Solid understanding of human resources laws, principles and practices.
- Solid understanding of benefits and payroll processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (Paylocity preferred), MS Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources or related field.
- HR certification is a plus.
Additional Requirements:
Willingness to occasionally travel to PURIS facilities (<10%) in Harrold, SD; Randolph, MN and Minneapolis, MN.
