Job Description – Project Engineer
Report to: Project Supervisor
BU: ECK
Responsibilities:
- Serve as key customer contact for all technical and commercial issues for small system.
- Review and understand customer specifications and Coperion’s offer to the client.
- Elaboration of technical solutions, preparation of PID and necessary documents and clarification of the technical scope of work with our customer and suppliers
- Coordination of the settlement of the project and the close collaboration with other departments and Coperion offices worldwide.
- First contact person for our suppliers and external engineering and design partners.
- Technical support for the sales, inspection and support to site service department during installation and commissioning phase.
- Report and summary the actual project situation to Engineering- & Project manager with project progress report, schedule and so on.
- Closely cooperate with the Project management in a project function in order to achieve successful technical and commercial completion of the project
- For some material handling project, overall projects responsibility on technical aspects, project cost and schedule, technical claim management and related customer correspondence.
- Prepare technical datasheets and requirement.
- Prepare Process flow diagrams.
- Understanding Piping and Instrumentation diagrams, plant and piping layout drawings, piping isometrics. A designer / draftsperson may assist in CAD.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree or similar background and prefer major in mechanical engineering or chemical engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years working experience and at least 3 years proven project engineering experience. Preferred background is from the petrochemical industry, especially in bulk materials handling / pneumatic conveying systems.
- Familiar with MS office tools, with good commend for software Word / Excel / MS Project and AutoCAD
- Understanding for technical equipment and layout drawings and related technical manual instructions.
- Good analytical skills, quick learning ability, good team spirit, target-oriented working style.
- Professional attitude, highly motivated, well organized, diligent, able to work independently.
- Good interpersonal and communications skills both in Chinese and English.
