The Manufacturing / Operations Job Family Group is responsible for manufacturing and/or production operations, including assembly, machinery, processing and/or packaging. Sets production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, materials supply, staffing resources and volume required to meet demand and to ensure maximum production quantity and quality.
The Assembly Job Family accountable for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing assembly line machinery/equipment including: operating machinery/equipment or using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures to install a piece/part/component of an in-process product, assembly, or sub-assembly as it moves along the assembly line; fits, aligns, calibrates and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements; moving, packing, and sorting raw materials or finished goods; monitoring the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products; maintaining accurate daily assembly production records as input to manufacturing performance analysis.
Requires little or no prior relevant training or work experience. Employees in role require frequent guidance.
