We are excited to announce that IFF is currently seeking a Logistics Cost Analyst to join our team!
The individual in this role will deliver financial analytic support for IFF’s Logistics team. The key areas of focus will include financial reporting, data analytics, logistics spend visibility tool development and freight payment processing support. This individual will have experience working with large data sets, find ways to automate and improve reporting processes, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to drive continuous improvements within IFF logistics, through innovative solutions and insightful detailed analysis and reporting. This role is global in scope and will interact with many internal stakeholders to include: Business Unit/Corporate Finance, logistics leadership teams, accounting, and procurement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain key metrics and executive dashboard on freight invoice payment, logistics cost performance, and cost improvement roadmap actions.
- Deliver in-depth analysis of logistics network to data-mine opportunities for cost improvement actions and drive data driven decision-making.
- Analyze operational and finance data and present actionable insights to senior team members and management
- Issue statistical or detailed reporting for stakeholders as requested
- Identify & execute opportunities to increase bandwidth through automation and streamlining of business processes.
- Document and mapping of current and future state internal processes
- Collaborate with Finance on transportation contracts, cost accruals, and invoice payments.
- May support the timely validation and payment of logistics invoices.
- Support the Finance team with logistics information for the monthly and quarterly close processes.
Requirements
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in finance, analytics, accounting or supply chain or the equivalent experience and exceptional ability.
- 3-5+ years’ experience in analytics, financial or a supply chain role
- Understanding of financial and accounting concepts and procedures within a global manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with MS Office, MS Access, Tableau and other BI tools.
- Exceptional analytical skills with regards to logistics analysis, data manipulation, and the ability to create information from data.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver high quality results.
