Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The Vice President, Technology Officer leads the development and evolution of the company’s technology strategy and ensures alignment with the strategic priorities of the business. This role is responsible for all aspects of delivering technological solutions for the organization and guiding the business to ensure solutions are optimized from conception through implementation. This leader is responsible for developing, coaching, and guiding a team of individuals responsible for support, security, development, implementation and maintenance. The advancement of platforms and capabilities related to master data, reporting, and analytics is a key expectation of the technology team. This leader is a key member of the Amy’s leadership team.
Strategy & Planning
- Lead multi-year strategic technological planning to achieve goals by aligning the strategic priorities of the company and functional teams with technological plans and initiatives. Direct the evaluation, development, deployment, and management of current and future technologies.
- Communicate and align technology plans with the executive team, business partners, and stakeholders.
- Link multi-faceted business solutions together to ensure optimization across multiple departments.
- Guide development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
Development & Deployment
- Define rationale and requirements for new technology solutions and communicate to key stakeholders.
- Assess and communicate benefits and risks associated with technology solutions and the associated return on investment
- Partner with the procurement and finance teams to optimize economics and terms on all contracts; pursue master agreements to capitalize on economies of scale.
- Define and communicate corporate procedures, policies, and standards for the organization for acquiring, implementing, and operating new network systems, equipment, software, and other technologies.
- Support the organization through the transition to data driven analytics and predictive capabilities, including the use of AI as appropriate
Operational Management
- Conduct research and engage with industry groups to remain relevant and knowledgeable on industry trends and emerging technologies, in anticipation of new business processes and capabilities
- Act as primary leader for the company’s technology vision, via regular solicitation and communications with the organization’s executives, department leaders, and end users.
- Creatively and independently provide resolution to technical problems in a cost-effective manner.
- Develop, track, and drive accountability for the technical services annual operating and capital budgets
- Guide recruitment, development, retention, and organization of the technology team
- Ensure equipment and software operation adheres to applicable laws and regulations.
- Where necessary, oversee and develop patenting of intellectual property, inventions, and business processes.

Supervisory R esponsibilities
This position supervises the Information Technology organization, with at least 2 direct reports: the Director of IT Strategy and Business Solutions, and the Director of IT
Services and Operations. The extended IT organization is approximately 30 team members.
Qualifications And Skills

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data analytics, engineering or business administration
- Master’s degree preferred
Experience
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience managing and/or directing technological operations.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the Consumer-Packaged Food or hospitality industry.
- Experience in senior level strategic technology planning, execution, and policy development.
- Excellent knowledge of technological environments, plant | operational environments, networks, programming, media, and SaaS solutions
- Extensive knowledge of enterprise software applications, and outsourced systems, including Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, and UltiPro.
- Expert technical experience with systems networking, databases, Web development, integrations, and user support.
- Excellent understanding of project management principles, including demonstrated experience building PM capability in an IT organization.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, as they relate to technology issues.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), ERP (Oracle); supply chain systems, EPM, work force planning and human capital management platforms, and trade systems.
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to identify and interpret and communicate technical information, articulate problems, propose and consider alternative solutions, and provide support and recommendations for decisions.
- Possess continuous improvement mentality and ability to evaluate processes and seek out and implement internal or external best practices.
- Exceptional ability to influence and partner cross functionally across multiple levels of the organization, through strong relationship building, candor, and communication skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication ability with skills in translating ideas into clear, high impact communications. Capable of presenting complex financial information and concepts in an easy-to-understand format.
- Strong track record of building and managing successful teams.
L anguage Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals and data, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public.
R easoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Travel
