We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Sales to lead our Valves and Pumps business within the Separation & Flow Technologies (SFT) division in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing key accounts, and leading a team to drive growth and market penetration.
- Sales Strategy Development: Formulate and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share in the valves and pumps sector.
- Route-to-Market Optimization: Analyse current Route-to-Market and identify opportunities to optimize internally but also in collaboration with third parties, such as agents, distributors or engineering companies.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous improvement and proactivity.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape, translating insights into actionable plans.
- Key Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product development, marketing, and engineering teams to align sales efforts with product offerings and market demands.
- Communication: Ensure seamless communication with sales and project teams, promoting a strong "One Team" ethos to support company goals.
- Realizing Synergies: Identify collaboration and cross-selling potentials not only within the SFT division but also the other division and leverage these to drive the overall business for the company
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor sales KPIs, providing regular reports to senior management and adjusting strategies as necessary to meet objectives.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
Your Profile / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
- Master’s degree is a plus
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management within the industrial valves and pumps industry, preferably within separation and flow technologies
- Proven negotiating skills with customers
- Change management
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading and developing successful sales teams.
- Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of valves and pumps applications in industrial processes.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data, market trends, and financial reports to inform strategic decisions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- IT skills should include CRM, effective use of the MS Office suit including MS Teams–
- Gain good understanding of GEA matrix & networking opportunities across all divisions & apply
- Travel: Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events
