As a Process Controls Engineer in our Jackson, TN, plant, you’ll play a pivotal role in project development using the Front-End Loading (FEL) process through installation and startup. In this role, you will manage multiple food engineering projects from inception to production. You will work closely with other functions to help them bring the power and control solutions to life as well as coach and teach our operations team how to use their new equipment. You will help support existing technology base within the plant and unlock future potential using leading edge technology.
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting and Delivering Key Projects – Share your expertise and demonstrate leadership for all PCIS projects and network initiatives to meet business needs. To provide and capture the scope of each project, you will work with the processing and packing departments and develop relationships with global engineering and vendors. Participating in cost effective innovations to help lead Kellanova into future value driven opportunities.
- Supporting Manufacturing Facilities and Developing Capabilities – Provide technical support to our manufacturing facilities in the areas operational technology, manufacturing control platforms, PLC control (Rockwell), robotics, SCADA/HMI graphic software applications (Rockwell, Wonderware), integration protocol, SAP software, information gathering systems (OSI-PI), and electrical/utility code requirements. Coach and develop the plant engineering PCIS support organization.
- Creating Documentation – Develop and maintain electrical and software/control system specifications, design standards and cost estimating data.
- Project Management – Work with cross-functional teams to lead and manage electrical power, controls, and operational technology delivery on capital projects.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- High school/GED with relevant technical work experience.
- Experience working with factory service 480v 3ph power systems and distribution, motor controls, VFD’s, servo drives, PLC programming proficiency (RS Logix/ Rockwell/Allen Bradley) and National Electrical Code (NFPA 70/70E, UL 508A) required.
- Intermediate to advanced experience with AutoCAD software required.
- Skills in SQL, Scada, MES, Data Collection, Networking, and Virtualization are additional areas of valued technical experience.
- Microsoft Office software suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Controls platforms include but not limited to Rockwell/AB, B&R, Beckhoff, Fanuc.
Compensation
The annual salary range is $80,200 - $105,210, which is based on various factors such as location, experience and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available.
