At GOURMEY, you will report Tami Dumond, our Production Site Manager.
What you will be doing?
You will collaborate closely with our team of scientists and technicians to support critical laboratory and production operations, playing a key role in maintaining smooth and efficient workflows. Additionally, you will help maintain laboratory and production equipment and clean working environments while adhering to strict safety protocols.
Key responsibilities:
- Conducting various laboratory production activities including assembling and disassembling equipment
- Maintaining laboratory equipment and instruments including calibration, maintenance, and sanitation
- Cleaning and sanitizing production equipment, production and laboratory areas according to company and GMP cleaning standards to prevent cross-contamination
- Ensuring proper storage and organization of samples and reagents
- Keeping accurate records and reporting
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols
- Ensuring a safe and clean environment for production laboratory areas - removal of waste receptacles and waste materials
What about you?
This position is ideal for you if you have a strong background in laboratory science and you thrive in an organized, detail-focused setting.
- High school diploma or BTEC in a scientific field (e.g. biology, chemistry, or related discipline)
- Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols, procedures, and chemical safety is preferred
- Previous experience with sensitive equipment, preferably in a laboratory, fermentation, or ready-to-eat food manufacturing environment is helpful
- Knowledge of food or pharmaceutical product sampling and testing is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in English is preferred

- The role implies to lift and carry up to 50 pounds (23 kg)
- The role implies to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods of time
- The role implies to wear gowning PPE and a respiratory mask for some activities
- The role implies to work in humid or wet conditions
- The role potentially implies to work on staggered hours (2-shift system)
