The Role
We are looking for a Commercial Partnerships Manager to join our team to drive forward our commercial relationships with industry players in mainstream dairy, infant formula and adult nutrition. This includes prospecting and reaching out to target customers to build new relationships, as well as further cultivate existing relationships in the prototyping/testing and commercialisation spaces. We’re creating a product that doesn’t yet exist on the market, and much of what we do here is unchartered territory. A successful candidate will be comfortable with rolling up their sleeves in an unfamiliar environment, have a strong track record of business development, sales or commercial partnerships delivery and enjoy a high level of accountability and autonomy.
The role will entail working closely with our Director of Strategy & Partnerships, CEO, and Commercial Advisors.
Responsibilities
Research potential partner/customer landscapes to create a target funnel
Lead outreach activities to target customers, with a particular focus on our novel animal-free bioactive protein for infant and adult nutrition
Drive conversations along the funnel, including preparing materials and presentations for prospective customers and partners and working with cross-functional (commercial + scientific) teams internally
Dive ongoing engagement with the partner/customer funnel e.g. email, social media
Support with deal ideation and negotiation of partnerships
Build out Better Dairy’s Business Development Playbook
Support with other partnerships-related initiatives
Contribute to a positive work environment that embodies our values
Essential Experience
Experience in Business Development or Sales is essential
Commercial partnerships experience
Strong communication and organisation skills
Proficiency working with cross-functional stakeholders
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with high levels ambiguity
Proactive, self-driven and results-oriented
Desirable Experience
Degree in Natural Sciences/Engineering
Experience with contract negotiations
Biotech industry experience
