- This position will take responsibility for 2D/3D models and drawings for engineering projects, including creation of part lists in ERP system and document management.
- Preparation of 2D/3D layout models and manufacturing drawings for Engineers, Project Managers in new equipment and after sales business following Coperion guidelines and practices
- Develop 2D/3D models in accordance with department procedures, e.g. modelling technique
- Production of drawings from supplied information such as Handover forms, client specifications, design calculations sheets, supplier data sheets, etc.
- Assisting the Project Manager in the identification and implementation of new processes where needed for product development, quality improvement, cost reduction and timely delivery
- Liaise with project manager, customers, suppliers, and third party consultants to ensure design requirements are met in a timely manner
- Delivery of all drawings to satisfy quality, accuracy and timing requirements and standards
- Draws general assembly illustrating key features and notes of reference or instruction as appropriate.
- Experience in the production of 2D/3D models, design, drawings and documentation
- Experience of Inventor CAD or similar and understanding of 2D/3D modelling concepts
- Experience of AutoCAD and understanding of 2D drafting concepts
- Experience in resources and bulk handling processes preferred
- 5-10 years’ experience in a drawing office environment or equivalent trade experience involving working with drawings.
- Well developed communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Meticulous attention to detail
- High mechanical aptitude across multiple areas and products
- Possess strong focus on delivery of pre-agreed milestones and continuous improvement
- Work to deadlines and ensure they are met.
- Allocates subsidiary drawing reference numbers for sub-assemblies
- Obtains dimensional suitability and other features of specified proprietary items to incorporate in design
- Ensures dimensional suitability by reference to known standards and allocates tolerances as appropriate
- Provide regular status reports to the Project Manager and Engineering Manager.
