Reporting to the NOE Senior Manager Finance Control, you’ll be managing the finance and accounting operations for Flora Food Group UK&I and Nordics entities, including performing month-end close accounting, management and financial report preparation. Helping to maintain a strong control environment and providing insight and support to key stakeholders required for effective decision making in order to achieve the business strategy. Ad hoc projects as required.
Main Responsibilities
Supporting NOE Entities:
- Performing the finance month/year-end working with Finance shared services to ensure timely and accurate month end close and associated reporting activities.
- Lead the statutory reporting and audit process, in conjunction with the external auditors.
- Collaborate with Commercial Finance and HR business partners to provide financial insights and analysis.
- Preparation of quarterly and annual budgets and respective monthly analysis of variances to budget.
- Review in conjunction with internal and external tax partners VAT, CIT, and Transfer pricing returns.
- Support in implementing business development projects in line to the Future of Finance programme.
- Key business partner to non-finance stakeholders
So, what does it take to be successful in this role?
You must be able to adapt quickly to frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience working with SAP/BPC is essential, along with extensive experience in month-end close activities for multiple international entities. A strong accounting background is required, with confidence in applying IAS and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS 15, 16), as well as proven exposure to end-to-end statutory accounts preparation. You should be highly skilled in finance-based IT systems, particularly Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint, and hold a professional accounting qualification such as CIMA or ACCA. Proven ability to work within a matrix organization, managing cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders, including managing upwards as the team expert in certain areas, is essential. You should also have 7+ years of experience in similar roles.
Personal skills include being proactive, curious, and a critical thinker. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet challenging deadlines, are key. You should be a self-starter who can work independently while stepping up to a hands-on role, delivery-focused with a strong sense of ownership. A collaborative, team-oriented mindset, combined with the ability to influence and communicate effectively across diverse cultural and business environments, is essential. You should have the drive, energy, and passion for developing business and financial processes and capabilities.
