The Sales Analyst I will be responsible for analyzing sales and forecasting data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to help the Growth Team meet its objectives. The role involves working closely with sales leadership, marketing, finance, and other departments to optimize sales strategies, forecasts, and processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly analytical, and skilled in leveraging data to improve sales performance. TASKS, DUTIES, & GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Data Collection & Analysis ·Gather, synthesize, and interpret sales data from various sources (e.g. Sales forecasts, PM tools, ERP systems, distributor portals) ·Track key sales metrics such as revenue, volume, forecast accuracy, mix and sales cycles Conduct ad hoc analyses to respond to specific business questions or emerging trends Reporting Create and maintain comprehensive sales performance reports and interactive dashboards for sales team and sales leadership Develop monthly, quarterly and annual sales performance summaries highlighting key insights Provide forecasts, sales trend analysis and performance summaries for different regions, channels, categories and products Maintain accurate sales forecast and support the SIOP process, ensuring alignment across sales Sales Strategy Support Collaborate with the sales team and sales planning on annual planning and forecast revisions Provide data to inform strategic initiatives and 3–5-year planning Process Improvement Support continuous improvement related to sales reporting, report accessibility, and systems management Work on projects to consolidate data sources, creating a single source of truth to enhance reporting efficiency Cross Department Collaboration Collaborate with IT, broker teams and data management teams to optimize data collection and reporting processes Work with finance to understand the financial implications of sales forecasts and trends Key Skills & Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus. Experience: 2-5 years of experience in sales analysis, business analysis, or a related role, preferably within a fast-paced environment Technical Skills: Proficient in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI). Familiar with ERP software (e.g., Netsuite) and TPM software (e.g. UpClear) Knowledge of statistical analysis and forecasting techniques Proficient in Microsoft Suite Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to identify patterns in complex data sets and translate insights into actionable strategies. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain complex data findings to non-technical audiences. Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to data validation and reporting accuracy Self-Directed: Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and maintain focus in a fast-moving environment Excellent, verbal, written, and presentation communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience in consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry, plant-based foods, or related sector Knowledge of financial modeling, scenario analysis, and key performance indicators relevant to sales performance Work Environment: Expected to work in person five (5) days a week at our El Segundo, CA headquarters Annual salary commensurate with experience The starting annual base pay for this role is between USD $100,00 and $115,000. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands.
