Position Summary:
As a Stores Person at Baker Perkins, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the accurate processing and handling of materials from both internal and external sources, facilitating their efficient flow through the factory or to our customers. This role is essential for maintaining smooth operations and keeping our supply chain functioning seamlessly.

For our Warehouse Operations Job Family, we are looking for an independent and team-oriented person to join us at our HQ site in Peterborough.
As a
Stores Person (m/f/d), you’ll support the warehouse with a range of distribution activities to ensure the efficient and economical utilisation of our facilities. You will be involved with all aspects of inventory support, including analysing of reports and surplus stock lists & improvement of inventory control.
Work You’ll Do:
- Manage general stores duties, including accepting, booking in deliveries and matching/putting away parts accurately.
- Handle telephone communications with suppliers regarding delivery issues, such as incorrect parts or quantities.
- Book in manufactured and subcontract parts using the company’s ERP system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Operate a gas or electric powered forklift truck to move, stack, load or unload materials, parts and finished goods as needed.
- Accurately complete and issue all paperwork or electronic documentation associated with receiving, marshalling and returning stock.
- Issue items from stores to manufacture personnel, updating the business systems as required.
- Pick, pack and dispatch all aftermarket parts following set guidelines.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities within the stores environment.
Team:
The Supply Chain & Logistics Job Family Group performs supply chain and logistics functions, which may include, but are not limited to, material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection and distribution. Creates integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers.
Basic Qualifications:
- A Forklift license would be highly desirable for this position.
- IT literacy is also highly desirable criteria for customer communications.
- High attention to detail and customer-focused mindset.
- Strength in communication and stakeholder engagement skills (written and verbal).
- Willingness to work shifts as required.
- Fluent in English (speaking & writing).
