The Manager of Commercial National Accounts, Away From Home is responsible for creating and managing strategies, objectives, and action steps to develop national and large regional accounts across targeted foodservice channel segments working closely with the AFH Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Commercial Finance.
This is a remote position based in the West or Central region.
- Leverage fact-based analysis to manage the business. Establish measurements and goals for an ambitious go-to-market strategy, supported by a comprehensive, analytically grounded sales approach, tracking progress in Salesforce.
- Within a start-up mode environment, put in place business evaluation measures, using both quantitative and qualitative data, to assess business performance, competitive trends and new opportunities. Stay abreast of competitive actions, trends and emerging marketplace needs.
- Develop and manage annual sales forecast by customer and provide Califia Farms leadership with regular updates on the results, challenges, opportunities, and competitive actions.
- Actively identify and close NEW strategic, branded Partnerships, developing branded selling strategy.
- Manage channel specific trade promotion strategies, driving for efficiency of spend and overall trade budget.
- Accurate and timely sales volume forecasting for direct customers and through distribution.
- Ensure company objectives and strategies are clearly communicated throughout the sales team and to customers.
- Develop and manage relationships with account R&D teams and chefs, conducting Top to Top quarterly strategy sessions.
- Actively participate in industry trade and consumer shows to advance Califia Farms branded sales.
- Hold regular monthly meetings with internal stakeholders regarding key accounts.
- Investigate and resolve queries and issues raised by national accounts.
- Domestic travel up to 60%
- Bachelor's degree preferred with 5+ years' experience specific to the foodservice business channel with national and large regional account customers
- Extensive contacts and relationships with key decision makers
- Must have working knowledge of new product development process
- Must be able to direct project leadership of new items
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong business and collaborative relationships
- Proven ability to adapt and manage effectively in fast-paced, changing environment
- Strong and creative negotiation skills with challenging customers
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
The expected salary range for this position is between $140,000 - $160,000 per year based on a full-time schedule. Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting the actual salary.
