Provide technical support and advise to the operational team to ensure current KFMS and customer requirements are maintained and enhanced where appropriate.
Working with the technical and operation teams and other functional areas to build effective relationships, develop trust and promote a food safety & quality first culture thus enabling the effective and sustainable transfer of food safety & quality systems to factory work streams.
To achieve success in this position it is critical that the QAT makes Pilgrim's Europe Purpose Vision & Values real within the factory, practicing & cascading the principles and philosophies of KPS.
What You Will Be Doing
- Ensure compliance in production areas in line with the Quality Management System for process related manufacturing jobs / tasks.
- Ensure that all members of the technical team are operating in a safe way and that required risk assessments and actions required for H&S are completed
- Check that standards set within the factory teams are adhered to through layered confirmation/visual assessments.
- Continuously improve standards – ensure new or revised customer requirements are complied with and reflected in factory systems
- Compile customer complaints data and enter into the relevant database to produce usable trend data for the factory teams.
- Work with Ops teams to agree complaint actions plans and ensure implementation of actions agreed.
- Lead customer complaint investigations liaising/working with all areas of site to identify root cause and agree corrective actions
- Review taste panel results and agree corrective actions with Ops teams where required. Review and report on effectiveness of actions taken.
- Ensure required report templates are completed on time, in full and accurately for customers and other stakeholders.
- Complete other information gathering tasks as appropriate e.g. customer data requests. Master schedules for improvement plans will also be required.
- Analyse & Report Quality performance metrics
- Provide timely information on quality KPIs in a standardised format (through meetings and display boards) to the factory teams to maintain focus and enable continuous improvement.
- Ensure HACCP in production areas is being implemented and documented records kept.
- Manage/authorise concession requests from Ops teams and agree actions required.
- Manage/authorize life extension requests from Ops teams and agree actions required.
- Raise non-conformances to the business where non-conformance is identified.
- Facilitate the closing of all non-conformances raised (during audits or during shift) by working with Ops teams to agree corrective actions and verifying completion.
- Manage and support the FPA, KQA & RMI functions during the production shift.
