The Opportunity: The Supply Chain & Logistics Manager is a key leadership role within the Walker Drive facility. This role is responsible for leading and managing production planning, purchasing and inventory control, and is accountable for ensuring the production schedule meets customer demands.

Lead a team of 8 direct reports
Direct the hiring, training, supervision, mentoring and performance evaluations of the supply chain & logistics team
Maintain optimal inventory levels to satisfy customer levels
Responsible for managing the Traffic & Storage budget
Collaborate with senior management to clarify management objectives, problem solve, identify and manage risk
Enter and calculate inventory counts to ensure it meets the current week requirements
Manage inventory and forecast for one-week out
Manage production data conformance in APP system
Monitor and manage PLM for any open ECR
Set up materials planning MM02/ APO system for new product coming into the plant
Run and update MRP daily to place orders as needed
Run ECP and update DPR from previous day production for weekly conformance
Update planning board in APP for 2 weeks out with all product schedule to produce
Meet with Production Coordinator daily to discuss production plans for next day and line targets
Confirm product horizon and accept deployed orders throughout the day
Plan production lines schedule in APO for following week
Follow up on material ETA to production plan and follow up on outstanding orders
Create DRP for production team and review with Production Coordinator to maintain daily
Review packaging and spice requirements, check BBD spices for C+2, notify QA of spices needed
Check fresh meat inventory, recalculate usage to ensure all product is blended prior to best before date
Calculate meat requirements for C2
Maintain and review MRP report daily
Manage and review LCF
What You’ll Bring: The successful candidate will be results-oriented, thrive in a fast paced, demanding environment, and have the ability to develop positive working relationships with all employees. Candidates must have:
Degree or Diploma/Certificate in Materials Management, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field or combination of 5-10 years of industry related experience.
Must be self-managed and able to set priorities among conflicting priorities.
SAP experience with direct procurement, indirect procurement, detailed scheduling, and physical inventory.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence and impact others at various levels within the organization to achieve results.
Strong motivational leadership skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel, Windows
Committed to the development of their team and colleagues
Innovative and Creative in finding solutions and opportunities
Proven project management and organizational skills
Lean/Six Sigma or equivalent experience in both union and non-union environments.
